The Center

iClicker support. Our staff is here to assist you!
The Center
for Teaching Excellence (CTE) provide excellent introductory workshops showcasing
successful pedegogical uses of iClickers. Whether
you are new to iClickers and just want to see how they are used or
whether you are a veteran user, these workshops will provide insightful
information.
The
Digital Media Center (DMC) conducts hands-on
workshops at various times throughout the semester.

Ordering
Student iClickers From The Manoa Bookstore
Place
your orders for student iClickers along with required textbooks for
the course through your department.
If you plan to purchase your own receiver unit include that information
with your order.
Please submit your orders by the last week of the current semester
so that receiver and software setup can begin before classes start
for the following semester.
Students
can purchase their iClickers through the Manoa Bookstore.
Obtaining
an iClicker Receiver & Software
The Center
for Instructional Support (CIS) has a limited number
of iClicker receivers to loan faculty. Receivers may
be checked out the week prior to the start of the semester but must
be returned by the last day of final exams. Requests for iClicker receivers
can be made up to two months prior to the start of the semester. Scheduling
will be done on a first-come-first-served bases, however,
new users will be given preference to those that have scheduled
receivers in previous semesters. Faculty must provide their own USB
flash drives.
Software and documentation can be download directly from the iClicker.com
website. Instructor also have the option of bringing their flash drive
to CIS (Kuykendall 103) to have the latest software installed. Those that
are currently using the iClicker software can check for updates by launching
the WebUpdate application in the MyCourse folder.

in the Classroom
Several general-use
classrooms have been equipped with iClicker receivers attached
to the installed computer. As more receivers are acquired by the university
additional classrooms will be added to this list.

Instructors
preferring to use their own laptops, or are scheduled in general-use
classrooms without installed iClicker receivers, must provide their
own receivers.
Registering
Student
iClickers
If you decide
to award points for attendance and participation you'll need to associate
your student's name with their unique iClicker remote IDs. This is
accomplished by either using the "roll call" method
or by having your students register their
iClicker by going to http://www.iclicker.com/ and
filling out the information
on the form.
