CIS supports the integration of technology into the university's curriculum. Effective use of technology to support teaching and learning has the potential to improve the learning environment. To facilitate this effort CIS provides services to assist departments in achieving this goal.

Over the last few years CIS has installed over 98 data projection systems, 33 of which have been for academic departments.

• Assessment - CIS staff will consult with department representatives to determine needs, including budget. A site visit will be conducted to explore various options, and identify special requirements of the room.

• Purchasing Equipment - A recommended list of equipment including technical specifications will be provided to the department. Other requirements, such as electrical work, will be noted.

• Installation - Once the equipment arrives the department will arrange for CIS techncians to install the equipment. One to three days may be required depending upon the complexity of the installation.

• Orientation and Training - If requested, CIS will conduct a training session to familiarize the department's faculty and staff will the newly installed equipment.
